FAQ

Straight answers on UAE tax and accounting.

The questions business owners ask us most. For anything specific to your company, book a consultation.

Ask us directly
When does my business have to register for VAT?
Registration is mandatory once taxable supplies and imports exceed AED 375,000 in the past 12 months (or are expected to in the next 30 days). Voluntary registration is available above AED 187,500. We handle the registration and set your filing periods with the FTA.
How does UAE Corporate Tax work?
Corporate Tax applies at 0% on taxable income up to AED 375,000 and 9% above it. Every taxable person must register with the FTA and file a return within nine months of their financial year end — even if no tax is due. Small Business Relief may apply where revenue is AED 3 million or less, for tax periods ending on or before 31 December 2026.
Do free-zone companies pay Corporate Tax?
A Qualifying Free Zone Person can benefit from 0% on qualifying income, but must still register, maintain audited financial statements and meet substance and de-minimis conditions. Non-qualifying income is taxed at 9%. We assess your position and keep the documentation the FTA expects.
What is WPS and why does it matter?
The Wage Protection System is MoHRE's mandatory electronic salary transfer system. Payroll must be processed through it on time or your company faces fines and blocks on new work permits. We prepare the SIF file, run payroll through WPS, and calculate gratuity and leave provisions to UAE labour law.
How does virtual accounting work day to day?
Your bank feeds, invoices and receipts flow to us digitally. We keep the books current, reconcile monthly, file every return, and send a management report each month — with a named accountant you can reach any time. When something needs to be handled in person, our experts visit your office.
